B2 ÖIF test
From November 2013, the ÖIF will be offering the B2 ÖIF test. This test was developed by telc GmbH and revised for Austria. The test tests general German language skills at an advanced level: at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), complex texts on concrete and abstract topics can be understood. The available vocabulary is large enough to be able to express oneself independently and clearly on most topics and to be able to conduct detailed discussions in one’s own area of specialization.
The B2 ÖIF test consists of a written part lasting 2 hours and 20 minutes and an oral test lasting approx. 15 minutes, which can be taken with two or three candidates at the same time. The written part consists of the modules Reading Comprehension, Language Elements, Listening Comprehension and Written Expression. There is 20 minutes preparation time before the oral exam.
