For the ÖSD Zertifikat C2 / Wirtschaftssprache Deutsch exam, participants should be able to communicate in business and professional situations, including in more complex contexts.
With this exam, learners of German demonstrate general and technical language competence, which is characterized by a high degree of correctness and situation-specific appropriateness.
The exam is offered for learners aged 16 and over.

Examination parts

Reading comprehension

The comprehension of authentic texts on business-related topics from Austria, Germany and Switzerland is tested in terms of their overall message and individual content on the basis of four tasks.
Duration: 90 minutes

Listening comprehension

In three tasks, the comprehension of authentic listening texts spoken in standard language on business-specific topics from Austria, Germany and Switzerland is tested in their overall message and/or in their individual contents.
Duration: approx. 40 minutes

Writing

Using several guidelines, two texts (formal e-mail, information text for advertising purposes) must be written, which must be evaluated using defined criteria (see evaluation sheet ).
Duration: 75 minutes

Speak

The examination comprises three tasks: a telephone interview, a presentation and a negotiation interview. The examination interview is conducted according to defined criteria (see evaluation form ).
Duration: approx. 20 minutes

Audit execution

Participants are each tested and assessed by two trained ÖSD examiners (see overall sheet). An ÖSD certificate is issued if the written and oral examinations are passed. It is possible to view the evaluation sheet on request.
